<p>The operation of the UK’s ITS research center, innovITS ADVANCE, has been transferred to MIRA (formerly the Motor Industry Research Association). The facility is dedicated to the testing and demonstration of Cooperative Vehicle Infrastructure Systems, and has been run by innovITS, which was set up by the UK Government’s Department for Business Enterprise and Regulatory Reform (BERR), as a non-profit making organization in 2005 with the objective of achieving a world-class position for the country’s ITS industry.
